About Teresa Rimer

Teresa Rimer has been an old soul her entire life, collecting family heirlooms and stories that offer her glimpses into past lives and distant time periods. Her writing grows from these treasures and the lives of her parents and grandparents. Her first passion—genealogy—was a hobby she lovingly shared with her father. Together, they traced their family history back to Jamestowne, uncovering fifteen generations of stories along the way. In 2011, they self-published their findings in Footprints in Time: The Webb-Boyd Journey. She sees many story opportunities within its pages. Teresa is a nurse by profession, graduating from nursing school in Memphis, Tennessee and later at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Most days, you can find her squirreled away in her basement quilting, rewiring an old sewing machine, or writing, though she is most content spending time with her family—and collecting grandchildren.

She is the author of Under the Porch, a novel about her grandparents.
